The Customer Verification extension introduces a profile verification workflow to OpenCart. It requires customers to validate ownership of their registered email address, or allows administrators to manage verification statuses manually.

Functional Overview

1. Customer Email Verification

• Email Dispatch: On customer request the system generates and sends a verification email to the address provided by the user.

• Verification Link: The email contains a unique, secure activation link. Clicking this link updates the customer's database profile status to "Verified".

• Expiration Window: The generated verification link remains valid for exactly 48 hours. If the link is not clicked within this timeframe, it expires, requiring a new link to be requested or manual intervention by an administrator.

2. Administrative Controls

• Status Profile Field: Adds a dedicated "Verification Status" field to the customer profile view within the OpenCart admin panel.

• Manual Override: Administrators possess full modification rights to change a user's status. An admin can manually mark any customer profile as "Verified" or "Unverified" at any time, bypassing the automated email requirement.
